Opiyo Okach – Dance with a political stance!

This 4th June, BASS are starting the festival with a ‘kick in their step’ with an exclusive dance performance from choreographer/actor, Opiyo Okach. Using ideas of real and fictional borders, the award-wining Kenyan artist aims to create emotionally felt and thought provoking solo performances, using Africa as his main source of inspiration.

“It’s not an extraordinary thing to speak four languages, live four different cultures as everyday reality”
– Opiyo Okach.
