It may not be Halloween quite yet, but at BASS, we do things a little bit differently here, and you can’t get more diverse than our latest offering…

2009 BASS Festival
The first ever true adaptation of a vampire film, Nosferatu has had its original soundtrack totally reworked by The Shrine Synchro System – a live collective of artists/DJs specialising in the creation of African inspired beats and psychedelic visuals. Members include UK rapper TY, Tony Allen, Wunmi and Stella Chiweshe, but the group always manages to stay dynamic with their sound due to their ever-changing line-up of performers, especially when touring the world!
The rebirth of this Afrobeat scene has been helped through The Shrine club nights in London, where founders, Max Reinhardt and Rita Ray originally sought their inspiration for the hot spot from Fela Kuti’s actual club in Lagos, Africa.
And now staying true to their roots, they’ve decided to give an iconic film a soundtrack to match. In contrast to the originally somber and eerie score created in 1922, expect Shrine Synchro to make this a modern day beat matching contest for your heart!
